Joseph Friebis

FRIEBIS - Joseph W. Of Hamburg, passed away on September 3, 2015, at the age of 93, beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Echerstrom) Friebis; devoted father of Suzanne Courteau, Diane Albert, Wayne (Laura) Friebis, Donald Friebis and the late Joanne Friebis; cherished grandfather of four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Joseph and Anna Friebis; dear brother of the late Anna and Edward; also survived by relatives and friends. No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at The American Legion Post #928, 7353 Erie Rd. (Rte. 5), Derby on Saturday morning (September 12) at 11 o'clock. Mr. Friebis was a U.S. Navy Pearl Harbor veteran that served on the U.S.S. Cummings and U.S.S. Fletcher during WWII and retired from Bethlehem Steel Locomotive Shop.
