Joseph L. Shires

Shires, Joseph L. of Blasdell, entered into rest on December 27, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Betty (nee Langenbach) Shires; devoted father of Lynn (Frank) Julian, Danna (Harold) Smith and the late Waun (James) Carney; cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Joseph retired from the Buffalo Ford Stamping Plant, he was a life member of the Newton Abbott Fire Company and he volunteered for over 20 years at the Lackawanna food pantry. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Thursday (January 4) from 3-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Agape United Methodist Church, 2846 Seneca St., West Seneca on Friday morning at 10 oclock. Please assemble at Church. Entombment Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Newton Abbott Fire Company.
