Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Schmelzinger) Szczygiel; devoted father of Brian (Megan), Amy (Brian Stoldt), Jason (Angela), Michael (Carly), Nancy (Tom McGill), Patrick Szczygiel, Eileen (Jack) Reekie, Ronald, Joseph (Maryann) Szczygiel, late Sara Rose, and the late Lori Burgos; cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to many; loving son of the late George and Olga Szczygiel; dear brother of Thomas (Martha) Szczygiel and predeceased by Joann Fisher, Betty Ann (Stan) Sobczyk, Richard (Peggy), George (Charlotte) Szczygiel, and Gertrude McFall; also survived by many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Thursday (September 25th) from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park on Friday morning at 10 o’clock.
