SPARKES - Joyce P. (nee Preston) Of Tonawanda, entered into rest October 22, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Sparkes; devoted mother of Michael Sparkes, Judy Carpenter, David (Sherri) Sparkes, Nancy (Bill) Nikisher and Laura (Jim) Victor; cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Merton and Alice Preston; dear sister of the late Crystal Isham and Merton Preston, Jr.; also survived by relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Amelia's Church, 2999 Eggert Rd., Tonawanda on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. (Please assemble at church.) Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Sparkes was a member of the Ken-Ton Symphony.
