June C. Grunzweig

GRUNZWEIG - June C. (nee Donovan) Of Buffalo, passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Jacob L. Grunzweig; devoted mother of Robert (Julie) Grunzweig and Ann (Jack) Hughes; cherished grandmother of Justin (Christine) Hughes, Lauren (Brian) Maurer, Jonathan Hughes (Brittany Wells), Nathan Grunzweig, Daniel (Jamie) Grunzweig and John Grunzweig; adored great-grandmother of Amelia Maurer, Caleb Maurer and Kaylee Grunzweig; loving daughter of the late Vincent and Ida Donovan; dear sister of Leo Donovan (Marilyn McQueen). June loved her family, and cherished her many holidays and celebrations with them. Of her various positions, from Sheas Theater, Buffalo China, The Corn Exchange and Tupperware, she found her calling at the age of 70 helping those with disabilities at the Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled. June loved to paint and was creating beautiful pieces. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, Yatzee, senior trips and most of all, Florida. She was a board member at the South Park Methodist Church and belonged to the South Buffalo Senior Center, where she had many friends. She will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Christian Graveside Service at Hillcrest Cemetery on Wednesday (August 10th) at 11 AM, a Celebration of Life will follow.
