Kathleen A. Ball

BALL, Kathleen A. - (nee Cozzocrea) Of Snyder, entered into rest on November 25, 2021. Beloved wife of William J. Ball, Sr.; devoted mother of Katherine Ball (Nicholas), William (Krista) Ball, Nicholas Ball (Brittany) and Joseph Ball (Jessica); loving daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Cozzocrea; dear sister of Theresa Cozzocrea, Joseph Cozzocrea and Jacqueline (Seamus) Shinners; also survived by several loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. After graduating from DYouville College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she embarked upon a remarkable career as a Clinical Nurse at Roswell Park and Kenmore Mercy, and Supervising Nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital and Nephrology Associates. While working professionally, she lovingly raised four children with her husband of 42 years, served as a community advocate, and was appointed to the Town of Amherst Board of Ethics. As a devout Catholic, she was a member of the Bereavement Committee at St. Francis of Assisi and a member of the Nurse Ministry and religious education instructor at St. Benedicts. She was a dear friend and neighbor to many, and a founding member of Shower Club. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Snyder Chapel) 4614 Main St. near Harlem Rd., on Wednesday from 4-8 PM, where prayers will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 1317 Eggert Rd., Amherst at 9:30 AM. Donations in Kathleens memory can be made to Hospice Buffalo.
