Kenneth A. Ames

AMES, Kenneth A. of Angola and Spring Hill, FL entered into rest at the age of 90. Ken passed away under the care of his family and Hospice Buffalo. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Zaleski) Ames; loving father of Kenneth Ames Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL.; cherished stepfather of Eileen (Michael) Fox-Sciolino and the late Thomas Bogdan; dear step-grandfather of Brian (Amber) Anthon, Brandon (Annaliese) Fox and Scott (Ashley) Sciolino; adored step-great “Papa” of Landry Anthon; loving son of the late Homer and Jessie Ames of Syracuse; dear brother of Richard (Judith) Ames, late Susan Yeaton, and the late Marilyn Kent; also survived by many family and dear friends in Buffalo and Florida. No prior visitation. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date. Ken worked as an insurance agent for 60 years. Ken owned his own agency, Contemporary Insurance Agency prior to merging with another local agency. He was an avid music fan and musician. He played the trombone, piano, and sang in a band at various venues, weddings, and special occasions. Ken was an avid golfer and loved his home in Florida.
