GAINES - Kenneth C. of Orchard Park, entered into rest on March 18, 2023. Beloved husband of Jeanne L. (nee Stockman) Gaines; devoted father of Laurie (Dennis) Litwiniak, Tracy (Joe) Greenwood, Jodianne Gaines (fianc Kevin Mastroccio) and Bryan Gaines (fianc Cari Dickey); cherished grandfather of Jesse, Weston, Colby (Alexandra), Kayla, Janine, Caysie and Jordan; adored great-grandfather of Ezekiel; dear brother of Nancy (Mike) Dohn; also loved by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Bernadette Church, 5930 S. Abbott Rd, Orchard Park on Wednesday morning at 10 oclock. Please assemble at Church. Ken has loved and been loved by his loving wife, family and so many friends. He has touched our hearts and lives through his positivity, his kindness and generosity and his unending smile. Ken is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, boating and deer hunting. Professionally, Ken Gaines, CPA, is best known for his more than 40 years experience as an accountant and business advisor and managing senior partner of Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP. Ken was also active in serving the community as past president of the Rotary Club of Buffalo inclusive of an active 35-year membership. Ken also served more than 15 years as an active member of the Manufacturing Council of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership; membership in the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara, and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AMAA). Ken recently served as Treasurer and active member of the New York State Forest Owners Association. He will be dearly missed by all that have had the pleasure of being a part of his life.
