Kenneth "Kenny" Turkleson Jr

5/5/1962-9/10/2026

Kenny passed peacefully in his sleep on September 10th of natural causes.

He was preceded in death by parents Ken Sr and Jozina Turkleson, sisters Karrie Turkleson and Kellie Brown.

He is survived by his wife Lisa and children Nikko (Christina) Turkleson, Tia (Lily) Orchard and Alexei Turkleson. Also, close family friend Dante Fryer.

He is also survived by sister Karen (Stuart) Funkhouser, uncle Rick Turkleson and many cousins.

Additional survivors include mother-in-law Danice Whitmore along with sisters-in-law

Lona (Jeremy) Whitmore and Lindsay (Jacob) Ballard.

His nieces and nephews include, Asia, Karlie, Maddy, Bella, Dakkota, Logan, Olivia, Isaiah, Viviana, Elijah and Isabella.

Kenny had many passions and interests in life. His love for his family being the strongest. He loved being a dad. He really enjoyed cooking and was happiest when people enjoyed his meals. He was an avid Minnesota Twins and Arsenal fan. He loved his music and enjoyed most genres. But none more than heavy metal. He was a "headbanger" from way back.

Originally from Salix Iowa the family moved to Sparks Nevada where he graduated from Sparks High and attended UNR for a time.

He had many jobs in his life and he was a good worker, but his motto was "Work to live, not live to work". His occupations included, retail supervisor, distribution, freight handling and then for more than a decade an independent contractor (owner) delivery driver.

He loved to travel and had seen a good portion of the US. First with his parents and sisters then with Lisa and their children.

A celebration of life will be planned by the family and announced at a later date.
