Of Amherst, entered into rest July 9, 2011, beloved husband of the late Lavone M. (nee Hermon) Rose; devoted father of William A. (Shirley) Rose, Robert (Donna) Rose, Gail M. Rose, Richard (Denise) Rose, Russell (Linda) Rose, John (Cheryl) Rose, Jacqueline E. (Heather) Rose and the late Lawrence T. Rose; cherished grandfather of Remus, Camille, Andrea, Zachary, Jarrod, Michael, Rick, Samantha, Kim, John, Meredith, Madeline, Alex and Mckenzie and 11 great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Allen and Alice (nee Lashway) Rose; dear brother of Barbara Beck and the late Dolly Hellen Brook; also survived by many relatives and friends. Mr. Rose was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII.
