BLUM, Lou Ann (nee Rongo) age 94, of Dansville, NY, and most recently of Brothers of Mercy Sacred Heart Home, Clarence, NY, entered into rest on August 19, 2023. Lou was a longtime resident of Dansville, NY until 2018. She was born on September 22, 1928 to Philip and Sadie Rongo in Groveland, NY. She was the youngest of 11 and was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Joseph, Mary, John, Anthony "Tony", Richard "Dick", Fiore "Pat", Mihel "Mike", Rose, Vera "V", and Philip. She was predeceased by her husband Philip W. Blum of 40 years. She is survived by her children Mary Ann Clark of Jackson, WY, Nancy "Chickie" (Douglas) Blake of Bradenton, FL, Robert (Bonnie) Blum of Buffalo, NY, Philip Blum of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren Heidi (Orion) Bellorado, Abby (Eric) Steinmann, Brian Blum, Emily (Anthony) Thomas, Christopher (Andrea) Blum and Hannah Blum; step grandchildren Eric (Darcy) Blake, Scott (Sarah) Blake; four great grandchildren, Jack, Leo, Henry and Ella; and many nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and later the assistant to the purchasing agent at Noyes Memorial Hospital. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, and traveling. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Throughout her life she treasured her family and friends she made along her lifes journey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 20 at 10:00am at Newman Center at UB, 495 Skinnersville Road, Amherst, NY 14228.
