Age 94, of Buffalo, entered into rest on August 8, 2025. Devoted wife of 28 years to the late Samuel A. Christopher; beloved mother of Sharlon (John) Kinnear and Susan (Michael) Norsen; cherished grandmother of Michael (Melina) Norsen, Dr. Christopher (Kathryn) Kinnear, Regina (Michael) Schueler, Marc (Lauren East) Norsen, Richard Kinnear and Thomas Kinnear; adored great-grandmother of 3 great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna (nee Casino) Zupa and dear sister of Richard F. Zupa and the late Anne A. Zupa, late Michael (late Margaret) Zupa, late Angelo (late Mary) Zupa, late Anthony Zupa, late James (late Ruth) Zupa, late Carl Zupa, late Augustine D. (late Mireille) Zupa, late The Rev. Msgr. Emil P. Zupa, late Frederico Zupa, late Marie (late Peter) Costa and late Rocco F. Zupa. Lucille is a 1947 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School. After graduation, she continued studies in the fields of Bookkeeping and Accounting. She retired after 36 years of service as an Accountant for the City of Buffalo Streets and Sanitation Department. She was a member/ officer of CSEA Local 1000 AFSCME AFL/CIO, a member of Buffalo Fire Department Local 282 Women's Auxiliary and of several travel clubs after retirement. Lucille was dedicated to her Catholic Faith. She was a member of St. Leo's Young at Heart. She also made an annual pilgrimage to St. Anne's Feast Celebration in Montreal, Quebec for many years. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd., Amherst on Thursday, August 14 at 9:15am (please assemble at church). Entombment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
