Madeline Ann "Mena" Colose (nee Accordino) passed away on October 14, 2026 at the age of 97, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Colose, devoted mother of Nicholas, Richard, Linda and Michael Colose: cherished 'nana' to Christina (Daniel) Cicero, adored great-grandmother to Sofia Grace, loving daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (nee Cassemento) Accordino, dear sister of the late Ann Ettaro. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, friends and relatives from Canada, whom she loved spending time with.

Madeline worked for the Buffalo Public Schools' Food Service Department for 27 years. Upon her retirement, Madeline did some volunteer work for the school district. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many students. She also served as a greeter at Evangel Assembly of God.

Madeline had a zest for life, even well into her 90's! She loved traveling, dancing, listening to music, and going out to restaurants, where she would order her favorite meal - pasta!

The family wishes to thank Hospice for the wonderful care and love given to our mom and the comfort given to our family during these past 5 weeks.

Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst, NY (near Eggert/Sheridan Drive), on Sunday, October 25th, 2026 from 1-4, where a prayer service will follow at 4 pm.
