Mother Bell is a mother, grandmother, Auntie, friend, extraordinary neighbor, and, most of all, a Christian. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 23, 1926, to William D. Rucker Sr. and Rosa Ella (nee McIntosh), weighing only three pounds. She began her formal education at Nashville and Davidson County Public Schools. After her father's death, Mother Bell and her mother relocated to Buffalo, New York, by way of Chicago, Illinois. In Buffalo, she attended and graduated from Fosdick-Masten Park High School. She later worked for Western Electric Company, a part of the Bell Conglomerate, for over thirty-two years. In 1946, she married the love of her life, William H. Bell. Two daughters and one son were born into that union: Rose Marie, Patricia Ann, and Felix Harding. She began to live her Christian journey of life through Psalm 118:17 after being baptized in 1956. I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church as a trustee, nurse's guild, music department and president of the floral club. She returned to her Pentecostal roots at the State Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. While serving at the State Tabernacle, she was an active member of the Mothers Board and a diligent Sunday School attendee until her failing health. This precious woman of God always had a word of encouragement for everyone she met. Never meeting anyone where she could not express the love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His goodness and mercy. Mother Bell transitioned from her earthly home with her family by her side to her eternal home on Sunday, March 3. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-one years, and brother and sister-in-law William D. (Marguerite) Rucker. She leaves to cherish her memories her children Mother Rose Malone, Bishop Patricia Blakes and Felix Bell, grand children Dr. Tanya Malone, Erik Malone, Rev.
