CASTELLANA - Maria (nee Proietto) Of Amherst. Entered into rest August 18, 2016; beloved wife of the late Alfonso Castellana; devoted mother of Giovanna (Guy) Boglioli, Peter (Annelie) Castellana, Charles (Tammy) Castellana, Vincenza (Steven) Ebel and Salvatore (Robin) Castellana; cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Silvio Calogero and Gerlanda Proietto; dear sister of Salvatore (Giuseppina) Proietto and the late Anna (Giuseppe) Disciacca; fond sister-in-law of Giovanna (late Salvatore) Gandolfo and the late Salvatore (Rosa) Castellana; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., on Sunday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church, 885 Sweethome Rd., Amherst on Monday morning at 9:15 o'clock. (Please assemble at church.) Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. The family will make a donation to Buffalo Hospice in Maria's honor.
