Marie L. Peters

Marie L. Peters Marie L. Peters, 87 of Buffalo NY, formerly of Las Vegas NV and Jamestown NY, passed away Sunday February 26, 2023 at Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg New York. She was born in Buffalo NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Ignorante Marie worked in the restaurant business for over 50 years in the Jamestown area. She loved serving all her customers great food and drink and had a great following of patrons. Some of the restaurants Marie worked at included The Alibi, Mr. Bs and The Belview Restaurant. Marie was a communicant of the St. James Catholic Church where she actively participated in the Altar and Rosary Society. Marie enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing scratch offs, going to casinos and being with her close circle of friends. Marie had four grandchildren she adored and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. Surviving are her three children; Tracy Nelson (Jeff) of Las Vegas NV, Todd Peters (Lori Heintzelman) of Las Vegas NV and Tammy Peters of Buffalo NY. Four grandchildren; Andy (Heather) Nelson of Las Vegas NV, Matthew Nelson of West Hollywood CA, Sydney Peters and Nicholas Peters of Las Vegas NV, and her former daughter-in-law Monique Peters. Marie has several nephews and nieces from the Buffalo NY area who provided her with loving care and happy family gatherings the last several months. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her 5 sisters; Rose Mary Giamo, Katherine Smith, Dorothy Alduino, Betty Bondanella and Frances Bednarz. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lombardo Funeral Home located at 3060 Abbott Road Orchard Park, NY on Thursday March 2nd. Viewing hours will be from 9 to 11 with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting memorials be made in memory of Marie Peters to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or a charity of ones choice.
