MARIO GAETANO CIPRIANI, 81, of Orchard Park, NY and recently Cumming, GA, passed away February 29, 2024 at home, surrounded by his immediate family. Born on Nov 15, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, Mario led a rich and varied life. He was a graduate of Bishop Timon HS in South Buffalo & studied Construction Engineering at Buffalo State College. Mario played minor league baseball and served in the US Army Reserves. He dedicated 29 years (1970-99) as a proud public servant with the Lackawanna Fire Department. He continued on as a successful entrepreneur, owning multiple restaurants with his brother Frank; The Big Wheel (West Seneca, NY), The Macaroni Company & Garcia's Irish Pub were popular establishments in downtown Buffalo. Mario was a residential builder & a partner in multiple real estate development projects throughout his life. He was a teacher of life and an amazing story teller. Most of all, he loved his family. Mario is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Regina Stoklosa Cipriani; daughters, Mari (Gavriel) Cohen, Camille Cipriani; son, Daniel (Kathryn) Cipriani; & his 9 grandchildren Talya, Sivan, Aviah, Sierra, Gabrielle, Zakk, Maggie, Lia and James. He was a loving son of the late Gaetano & Mary Gianino Cipriani & dear brother of the late Pasquale & Frank (Margaret). He had a large extended family that was very dear to him. He spent many years traveling with his wife to Florida where they made many close friends. He was blessed with a very full life and will be dearly missed by many. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY on Wed, March 13 from 4-8 PM. A Mass Service will be celebrated in St John Vianney's Church, 2950 Southwestern Blvd, Orchard Park on Thursday at 2:00pm. Mass will be followed by a gathering to celebrate his life.
