Marsha Ellen Bongiovanni

BONGIOVANNI, Marsha Ellen (nee Burgstahler) Of Tonawanda, entered into rest on May 7, 2023. Devoted mother of Joseph L. Bongiovanni, Rebecca A. (Jason) Meyer, and Michael R. (Erin) Bongiovanni; cherished grandmother of Kyle (Katy) Meyer, Kodi Meyer, Emma Bongiovanni, Kaleb Meyer, and blessed angel baby Binah; loving daughter of the late Russell and Frances Burgstahler; dear sister of Jill (late Jack) Carl, Nancy (Francis) Cote, Jeffrey (Viola) Burgstahler, and the late Russell (Barb, Sandy) Burgstahler; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Marsha was born in Buffalo, New York in 1948. She was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1966. She went on to obtain her license practical nursing through Millard Fillmore Hospital in 1967. She spent many years nursing to the elderly, and she also worked as a pediatric home care nurse. She and her family were members of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. Later in life, she became a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. What Marsha enjoyed most was her annual trip to Allegheny State Park, which she was able to enjoy with her family including this past summer. She was most content while sitting beside a creek and collecting fossil rocks for her garden. She will be dearly remembered and cherished by her children, family and loved ones near and far. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, near Eggert Rd., on Monday, May 15th from 4-8PM. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Tuesday morning, May 16th, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8900 Sheridan Dr, Clarence, NY 14031 at 11 oclock. Please assemble at Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church, 265 Skillen St, Buffalo, NY 14207.
