Obituary

Of Buffalo, entered into rest on October 29, 2026. Beloved wife of James “Jim” Sutton; devoted mother of Richard (Jill) Sterner; cherished grandmother of Angelina, James Aloysius, and Elijah; caring sister of Larry Sacco. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and dear friends.

Mary Ellen was a proud member of General Motors in Tonawanda, where she dedicated many years to second-shift assembly. She took pride in her work and the friendships she built throughout her career.

Above all, Mary Ellen’s greatest joy was her family. Her son, Richard, was the light of her life and her proudest accomplishment. She stood beside him through every triumph and challenge, loving him unconditionally. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Jim, her rock, strength, and constant companion. Together, they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and unwavering commitment.

Kindhearted and selfless, Mary Ellen always put others before herself. She taught those around her the value of kindness, empathy, and compassion. Her warmth and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
