In Loving Memory of Mary Beth Walsh With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Beth (Bess) Walsh, a cherished wife, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, who passed away at home on January 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, unwavering spirit, resilience, and compassion that touched the hearts of all who knew her. An exceptional nature photographer, she possessed an unparalleled eye for the beauty of the world around her. Her photos vividly captured autumns vibrant changing colors in Allegany, shimmering sunsets along the shores of Lake Erie, wildlife encounters in action, ethereal cloud formations spanning the sky, and awe-inspiring landscapes born from the majestic canyons, mountains, and red rocks of the Southwest. With thousands of moments preserved forever, her images tell a story of a lifetime filled with love, laughter, connection, family, and friends. As the true inventor of the selfie long before the digital world, Mary Beth documented the beautiful journey of love, humor, and commitment with Kevin, her husband and life partner of 43 years. Her love for animals reflected her inherent kindness and compassion. She considered her dogs her children, each one holding a special place in her heart, especially her baby Riley. The simple joys in life brought Mary Beth happiness. She found tranquility in long country drives, beauty in weathered facades of old houses, sense of calm floating in the pond at Rushford, pleasure in collecting rustic antiques, and nostalgia with the distinct scent of her parents attic. Music was her life's soundtrack, always expanding her vast music collection, going to concerts, and singing along in the car or with a curling iron. Her love and knowledge of movies and ability to quote lines effortlessly were unmatched. In the face of adversity, Mary Beths resilient spirit was accompanied by a quiet strength, quick wit, and great sense of humor that served as a guiding light for us all through the most challenging times of an unimaginable illness. She was the most wonderful sister in the world, enriching the lives of her siblings Alicia and Mark with unending warmth, support, and unparalleled bond. She is survived by her beloved husband Kevin Walsh, parents Dave and Carole Stewart, siblings Mark Stewart and Alicia Stewart Voyek, brother-in-law Bob Voytek, and nieces and nephew Lena Voytek, Erika Stewart, and Landon Voytek, all of whom she held dear to her heart. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void, but her spirit lives on in the memories she crafted, the love she shared, and the beauty she captured. May her gentle soul find eternal peace, and may her memories continue to illuminate our lives and help us navigate our darkest nights. Rest in peace Mary Beth, as your spirit soars among the clouds surrounded by the beauty of the landscapes you so dearly loved. You will be missed deeply and cherished forever. Private Service.
