Giallombardo, Michael F. Of Buffalo, entered into rest January 27, 2024. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Fruehauf) Giallombardo; devoted father of Lisa Luthringer, Linda Biondi and Joni Giallombardo; cherished grandfather of Carly (Patrick Pecjak) Biondi, Steven Biondi, Julia Biondi, Peter, Jason, and Michael Luthringer, Madeline, Monica and Michael Barker; loving son of the late Frank and Marian (nee LoBue) Giallombardo; dear brother of the late Rosalie (late Frank) Tamburello, Mary (late Jack) Fabbino, Pascal (late Carmela) Giallombardo, John Giallombardo, Joseph Giallombardo, Fortunato Giallombardo, Salvatore (late Shirley)(Jayne) Giallombardo and Peter (Patricia) Giallombardo; also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A private service was held. Mr. Giallombardo was an Airforce veteran of the Korean War, a dedicated teacher and principal in the Ken-Ton School district for 32 years. After retirement he worked on the docuseries dealing with Italian Americans of W.NY. and later La Terra Promessa and co-wrote and codirected 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'. He was on the board of the Centro Culturale Italiano Di Buffalo and had an interest in genealogy. Mr. Giallombardo also worked with the faculty at Buffalo State regarding the Beach glass Negative collection. But above all else and most important was his love of family and Sunday dinner.
