Michael P Karrer

KARRER - Michael of Buffalo, died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 13, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Penny, son Michael, cat Thea, and dog, Lucy. He was born to George and Maria Karrer, on April 8th, 1954, grandson to Marie Stocker and brother to Susan Doherty, Lisa Karrer and Patty Caruso. Michael attended PS 68 and was a member of the graduating class of 1972 at Bishop Neumann High School. As a student at PS 68, he was a featured trumpet player with the Buffalo Junior Philharmonic, and soon after developed a lifelong passion for the guitar. As a fixture of the Buffalo business community for the past 35 years, Michael developed and maintained a large and significant clientele as VP in charge of Sales at DFT Securities. His striking long white hair, great sense of humor and overall optimism left a deep and lasting impression on everyone he met. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman and water skier. He was an exceptional cook, and if Michael cooked for you, youd remember it! Most of all he cherished the time spent with his friends and family. He will be missed. Services will be held on March 23, at 1 p.m. at St Michaels Church. A reception will follow for friends and family. No Prior Visitation.
