Michael W. Tyson, 65, passed away on August 28, 2024, in New York, NY. Born on March 6, 1959, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel Tyson and is also preceded in death by his brother, Keith Tyson. Michael was known for his passion for healthy living, often participating in seminars and podcasts about nutrition. He loved to travel, exploring new places and cultures, which was a source of great joy and fulfillment in his life. Described by those who knew him as loving, caring, lively, and active, Michael's presence was a beacon of positivity. He is survived by his Mother, Mary L. Tyson (Turner); sisters, Pamela Tyson and Barbara (Rodney) Ridley; nieces, Andrea Eubank and Ekilah Jihan Poles; nephews, Darnell Tyson and Ryol Eddie Bernard Ridley; a great-nephew, Daziem Tyson; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Services to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with a funeral service immediately following. Michael will be laid to rest at St. Matthew's Cemetery, 180 French Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224. Lombardo Funeral Home of Buffalo, NY, is assisting the family with arrangements. Michael's legacy of kindness and enthusiasm for life will be remembered by all who knew him.
