Michelle Lynn Watts sadly left us on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 following complications with pancreatic cancer. She passed in her hometown of Buffalo, New York at Sisters of Charity Hospital and was surrounded by her loved ones as she transitioned home. She was only 52 years young. She was born in Hamilton, Bermuda on January 12th, 1970 to John and Beryl Watts. After only 6 months, John was stationed at the Niagara Falls, New York Air Base then discharged in Amherst, New York where they built their family home. After attending school within the Sweet Home School District, she then pursued her Degree in Nursing, which became more than a job, but her lifes calling. Michelle, or more affectionately referred to as Shellie by her friends and colleagues, was a much respected Registered Nurse in the Buffalo Community, working at various hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in the area. During her time, she touched so many lives through her passionate methods of care, her infectious laughter, and her no nonsense zest for life. In addition to nursing, her other love was Bingo. If you knew her, she was always trying to hit I 29. She also loved a smooth R and B groove, cooking for others, and a good party. She was loved by a village of people, and everyone who had the privilege being in her life will truly miss her. She is survived by her mother and father, Beryl and John Watts, her siblings, Kevin Armstead (Dana), John C., and Cheryl Watts, her partner, Darren Nailor, and her daughter, Alexandria Watts. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 7th at Lombardo Funeral Homes Amherst location at 885 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst NY 14226 from 2-6 with a service following after. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her honor to the Western New York Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
