Koncewicz; daughter of the late Gaspar and Mary Hercek. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave., on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Born January 25, 1918, in Lackawanna, to a family of four sisters and one brother. Surviving the 1930s Depression and working as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, were just some of the challenges of her life. In the 1950s, getting married and having her only child, James, was the light of her life according to her. Even with all the hard times and challenges, she was always able to teach us love, respect and affection for others, along with sincere sympathy for their problems. She was a beautiful soul, whose admiration and love for the simple things in life, friends, family, cooking, baking and her beautiful flower garden. Mildred had a great sense of humor and overall feistiness that got her to that age. She will be missed. God Bless her and may she rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mildreds name to Hospice of Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.lombardofuneralhome.com
