Of Getzville, entered into rest April 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Mirdza always prioritized the needs of her family and friends over her own. She was a beam of sunshine and the embodiment of kindness. Beloved wife of 64 years to Erwin Ekman; devoted mother of Linda (Ray) Zilgme, Astrid (Dale) Hamilton and Eric (Carly) Ekman; cherished grandmother of Andy (Katie) Zilgme, Timmy (Jessica) Zilgme, Samuel (Tiffin) Hamilton, Jacob (Christina) Hamilton, Audrey (Matt) Pence, Anna (Alan) Polson, Gavin Ekman and Remy Ekman; adored great-grandmother of Victor, Jade, Kora, and Natalie Zilgme and Asher and Norah Hamilton; dear sister of the late Ausma Plostins and the late Elsa Seskis.
