In Loving Memory of

Mya Aliyah Davis
July 8, 1999 – July 7, 2026

With profound sorrow, yet unwavering faith in God's promises, we announce the passing of our beloved Mya Aliyah Davis, who entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2026, just one day before her 27th birthday. Though our hearts are deeply broken by her unexpected passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mya was born on July 8, 1999, in Hampton, Virginia, to Brad M. Davis and Monica C. Foster. From an early age, Mya possessed a beautiful curiosity about the world around her. She was intelligent, artistic and compassionate, with a heart that desired to encourage others and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

A lifelong learner, Mya attended Highgate Heights School #80, Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, Buffalo State College, Regent University and Alfred State College. As a full-time student, she pursued her education with determination and excellence. She earned Dean's List honors during her first year at Buffalo State College, was recognized as an Honor Student and proudly worked for The Buffalo News. She believed that learning was a lifelong journey and embraced every opportunity to grow.

Above all, Mya's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being the devoted mother of her two precious children, Jordan Javier Tirado and Elliana Christina Tirado. They were the light of her life, the reason behind so many of her dreams and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Mya was a woman of many gifts and passions. She found joy in reading, writing, singing, drawing, creating beautiful resin art, decorating and spending time in church while studying God's Word. Her creativity knew no bounds and she had an eye for beauty that allowed her to turn ordinary things into something meaningful.

Those who knew Mya will remember her infectious sense of humor, her goofy personality, her thoughtful heart and her authenticity. She was an encourager who could lift others with her words, a deep thinker who enjoyed meaningful conversations' and someone who always chose honesty, even when it wasn't easy. She loved sincerely, cared deeply and left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Having placed her faith in Jesus Christ, Mya found hope, strength and peace in her relationship with Him. While we grieve her absence, we do not grieve without hope, for we hold fast to God's promise:

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

Mya was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Deborah Daniels, and her cherished aunt, Christina Elise Hamilton.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved children, Jordan Javier Tirado and Elliana Christina Tirado; her loving parents, Brad M. Davis and Monica C. Foster; loving step parents James A. Foster and Johany J. Davis; her siblings, Nina T. Williams, Jasmine A. Davis, Joshua I. Davis, Iyana J. Davis and Alaina I. Hamilton-Martinez; her stepbrothers, Ricardo R. Azevedo, Elias R. Azevedo, Lucas R. Azevedo, James A. Foster Jr., Devin R. Foster, Demetrius Davis and Myles Davis; her bonus parents; her grandparents, Walter Hamilton Jr. & Joanne Hamilton; her aunts Terri M. Hamilton, Mary U. Hamilton & Anquanette D. Hall; her uncle, Lee M. Davis; extended family, countless cousins, friends and all whose lives were forever changed by knowing and loving her.

Although Mya's earthly journey ended far too soon, the love she shared, the lives she touched and the faith she embraced will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. We will remember her laughter, her beautiful spirit, her unwavering love for her children and the kindness she extended so freely to others.

As we celebrate Mya's life, let us honor her by loving one another more deeply, extending grace more freely and remembering the words that reflected the way she lived:

Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St. near Harlem Rd. on Sunday, July 12 from 10-11, where a prayer service will follow at 11AM.
