Nathaniel "Nate" Scandale, 50, died suddenly on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home in Buffalo, New York. Nate was born on October 2, 1969, and lived in Buffalo throughout his life. He graduated from City Honors High School where he was a Buffalo city champion and all-state swimmer, and he worked in the dining and construction industries. At the time of his death, Nate was working on historic home renovations in Buffalo. The center of a large circle of friends, and the glue that held together his family, he kept in touch with everyone. Nate touched many people in his too-short lifetime. His love, care and loyalty were extraordinary. Nate would do anything for a family member or friend. Nate enjoyed cooking and was the instigator of frequent gatherings and celebrations. Many Sundays he could be found experimenting with recipes while cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills on FunDay Sunday Nate is survived by his father James Scandale (Barbara); mother Tracy Underhill (Charles); step-mother Isabella Wylde (Nancy); sisters Lisa Lewis (David), Julie White, Ruth Wylde (Frankie) and Susan Scandale (Petros); twin brother Bartholomew, brother Matthew (Carol), stepsiblings Daniel Underhill (T.J.) and Megan Vrooman (Aaron); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. Nate's passing has left a hole in the heart of everyone who knew him. He will be sorely missed by his family and many people who called him friend. A memorial service will be held from 9:00 AM to noon on Saturday, March 7 at the Lombardo Funeral Home, 102 Linwood Ave. in Buffalo. Viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 and remembrance from 11:00 till noon.
