Nelson Faso

FASO, Nelson, 94, of North Tonawanda, entered into rest October 27, 2023. Devoted husband of 69 years of Jane Faso; beloved father of Christine and Claudia Faso; loving son of the late Angelo and Jennie Faso; dear brother of the late Frank and Albert Faso. Nelson received his Aircraft Mechanics License from Burgard Vocational High School. He honorably served in the US Air National Guard and was in Pilot Training with the US Air Force. He worked for 40 years with American Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic and later Crew Chief. During his career, he was awarded the FAA Charlie Taylor Safety award. Nelson was a member of the Niagara Aerospace Museum where he was also a Hall of Fame recipient along with the Niagara Frontier Village Aircraft Group, Aero Club and the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda on Friday, November 3 at 9:30 oclock (please assemble at church). Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Fredonia, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Nelsons name to the Niagara Aerospace Museum. Condolences may be made on this page.
