Palmira Desantis) Sarandrea

Palmira Sarandrea (nee DeSantis) October 5, 1924 - August 6, 2024 of Lackawanna, entered into rest August 6, 2024. Beloved wife to the late Ennio Sarandrea, who passed on April 12, 1977; devoted mother of Loreto (Kim) Sarandrea, Antonella (Frank) Marrale and Susan (Joseph) Leo; cherished grandmother of Robert Marrale, Christina (Marc) Piotrowski, Luca Sarandrea, Gabrielle Leo, Lauren Leo and Kayla Leo; adored great-grandmother of Logan Marrale, Dominic Marrale and Palmer Piotrowski; loving daughter of the late Biagio and Maria (nee Luzi) DeSantis; dear sister of the late Lelio DeSantis and the late Gino DeSantis; also survived by nieces and nephews. Palmira loved knitting, gardening and was a fabulous cook. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Sunday (August 11) from 2-6PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park on Monday morning (August 12) at 10AM. Please assemble at Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Palmira's name to Hospice Foundation.
