Patricia Ostroski (Reynolds) was born on December 4, 1944, in Buffalo, New York, the second of six children to the late Dolly and Alphonso Reynolds.
She began her education at Buffalo Public School No. 17 and graduated from East High School in 1963. While pursuing her college studies, she worked as a Lab Technician at Roswell Park Memorial Institute. Her passion for healthcare led her to earn her Registered Nurse (RN) license in 1986, embarking on a career dedicated to caring for others.
Throughout her professional life, Patricia made a lasting impact in the medical field, working at several healthcare institutions, including St. Francis Hospital, Buffalo Columbus Hospital, and the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she cared for students at the infirmary. After years of compassionate service, she retired from BryLin Hospital in 2007.
On August 8, 1997, Patricia married the love of her life, Joseph Ostroski. Together, they shared a deep and unwavering bond, built on love, partnership, and mutual devotion.
Patricia was a dedicated mother who always put her family first. She had a deep love for nature and animals, finding peace and joy in the beauty of the world around her. A woman of exceptional intelligence, she possessed a brilliant scientific mind and an insatiable curiosity for history and research. A passionate reader, she found fulfillment in exploring new ideas and expanding her knowledge, inspiring those around her with her love of learning and discovery.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved children, Bonnie and Cheryl Mutignani, and Joseph Jr. and Tadd (Ellen) Ostroski. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Dajon (Jennifer) Pope, Kevin and Arielle Spikes, Korina Chillis, Levi, Isabella (Izzy), and Isaac Ostroski. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, the late Clyde Reynolds (Tommie), James Reynolds (Myra), Barbara Smith (Earl), Kelvin Reynolds, and Karen Muhammad (Larry). Patricia’s kindness, strength, and warmth will forever live on in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
