Buffalo

Patrick M. McIntyre, 46, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Buffalo, New York. Born on September 20, 1979, in Syracuse, New York, Patrick lived a life marked by dedication to his work, a deep love for the outdoors and sports, and a generous spirit that touched many.

Patrick’s educational journey began at St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School in Syracuse, New York. He continued his studies at Bishop Ludden High School before graduating from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications. His academic path reflected his commitment to learning and personal growth.

Throughout his career, Patrick was known as a conscientious and diligent worker. He held a variety of positions in several different fields. In every role he undertook, Patrick brought integrity and a strong work ethic.

Patrick had a lifelong passion for sports, music, film, and literature. Baseball held a special place in his heart, but he also enjoyed golf, basketball, football, and soccer. His love for the outdoors was equally strong—he found joy in camping and building campfires, white water rafting, catching salmon in Alaska, hiking through nature, fly fishing in peaceful streams, and long drives in the country in his treasured BMW sports car. Patrick was an also avid world traveler.

Patrick is survived by Maeve Huggins, his loving and devoted partner of almost nine years and their dog, Scout; his mother Helena (Dabrowski) Valentine and stepfather James Valentine of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He also leaves behind his best friend of almost twenty-seven years, Jeremy White, and many other dear friends who shared his love of good food, drink, and music.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. McIntyre of Fayetteville, New York, and his beloved English Springer Spaniel, Stella.

A Celebration of Life will be held in early 2026. Patrick will be remembered for being full of life—a loyal friend with a generous heart whose presence and wit brought so much laughter to those around him. May his memory bring a smile and enthusiasm for life to all who knew him.

In honor of Patrick, please consider giving to a local dog shelter, Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), American Stroke Association, or American Kidney Fund.
