Pedro Roman Jr.

September 5, 1955 — October 2, 2020

Pedro Roman Jr. affectionately known as Pete, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2020. Pete was born on September 5, 1955 in Buffalo, NY; and was both the only son and baby boy of Martha Ann Howard Roman and Pedro Roman Sr. He attended Burgard Vocational High School class of 1973, after which he joined the Navy. Following his stint in the military, Pete returned to Buffalo and was employed by Hanna Furnace where he was a steel mill laborer. He was subsequently employed by the Y.M.C.A. Because he acquired multiple skills over the years, he was able to self-employ as a property manager and performed various home and auto maintenance for family and friends. Pete was a loving man and found immense joy in seeing family come together. He delighted in making everyone laugh. A huge fan of old western television shows, he also enjoyed playing pool on his phone. Our beloved also had a serious sweet tooth and would often be seen with a lollipop in his mouth. The nurses at DaVita Dialysis Center enjoyed his company where he would pick with them as only he could, and then leave a trail of eaten lollipop sticks and wrappers for the staff to clean up. A compassionate soul, Pete comforted new patients at the center and eased their uncertainties about dialysis treatment. Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Kim (Granberry) Roman, mother, Martha A. Roman, father, Pedro Roman Sr. and his companion, "Baby" (pictured above). He leaves to celebrate his life: his daughter, Marqita Roman, his son, Adriane Roman, and his sisters, Alleather Cruz and Joanne Wade. He was blessed to have eight grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His cremains will be buried at Concordia Cemetery 438 Walden Ave Buffalo, NY 14211 on Saturday October 17, 2020 at noon.
