Peter D. Yiengst

YIENGST - Peter D. 69 years young, of the Town of Tonawanda, NY. After a lengthy and bravely fought illness, while surrounded by his loved ones, Peter entered Heaven on March 13, 2017. Dear son of the late Isabelle and Harry Yiengst; beloved husband of Concetta "Connie' (nee Guido) Yiengst for close to 50 years; adored father of Robert J. (Wendy) Yiengst and Kristin Yiengst. "Papa Pete" will be missed beyond words by his three grandchildren: Frank Aquino, Braden and Shayne Elizabeth Yiengst, who were the joy of his life. Fond brother of Dolly (late Bruce) Collins and Judy (James) Hollody; cherished brother-in-law of Peter and Joyce Guido; loving cousin of Msgr. George Yiengst; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Peter served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Amelia's Church, 2999 Eggert Rd., Tonawanda, on Saturday morning at 11:30 AM. (Please assemble at church).
