Age 98, of Amherst, entered into rest October 2, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Alfieri) Manzella; devoted father of Rebecca (late Danny) Greathouse , Michael (Linda) Manzella, John (Linda) Manzella and Susan (Frank) Fina; cherished grandfather of Marc (Lisa) Greathouse, Matthew (Natalie) Greathouse, Lucas (Christine) Manzella, Philip (Audrey) Manzella, Michael (Mandy) Manzella, Matthew Manzella and Franklin Fina (Anita Klapp); also survived by twelve great grandchildren; loving son of the late Michael and Josephine (nee Morana) Manzella; dear brother of Laura Vastola and the late Rose Parlatore, Helen Cuoco, Josephine Gugliuzza, Mary Gugliuzza and Joseph Manzella. Mr. Manzella was a graduate of Horticulture at McKinley High School. He entered the Army in 1945 post WWII. He operated Central Park Nursery on Main Street from the late 1940s to 1950s. Mr. Manzella owned a Heating and Air Conditioning company, Adapt-Aire, Inc. from 1970 to 2006. Prior to Adapt-Aire he owned Hygrade Industries, also a HVAC company. After retiring in 2006, he served as a HVAC consultant for Kenmore Development. Mr. Manzella was an avid gardener and landscaper and had a love of fishing and hunting. He is also fondly remembered as Scoutmaster of Troop 2 at Lafayette Presbyterian Church in the 1970s. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, 4614 Main Street, Snyder (near Harlem) on Monday, October 7 from 4-8. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.
