WHELAN, Phillip M. "Habib" Of Depew, entered into rest on December 8, 2023. Beloved partner of Malerie Snyder; devoted step-father of Julian; loving son of Thomas (Anita Ortiz) Whelan and Marie (Dennis) Jagiello; dear brother of Thomas and Luke Whelan and Ryan and Sean Davis; cherished uncle of Marina, Maris, and Tommy Whelan; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. No prior visitation. A celebration of life will be held in St. Francis High School Chapel, 4129- Lake Shore Rd., Hamburg on Saturday (January 20) at 10 AM. Phil will always be remembered for having the biggest heart and for his big smile. Phillip attended Lake Shore High School. He was always so happy and proud of Julian, who he treated like his own. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phils honor may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness Buffalo and Erie County or Buddys Second Chance Rescue.
