The Fourth of Seven children from the union of Edna Ruth Richardson-Day and Hartley Ashton Day, Sr. and she was affectionally known as Poonie. Born and raised in Buffalo N.Y., Prudence made her appearance on October 28, 1949. She attended schools 32, 16 and Lafayette High School. As an adult she attended Empire State College, Niagara Frontier Center where studied Community and Human Services. Years later she was Certified as a Master Trainer in Chronic Disease Self-Management; a Health and Wellness Consultant; and completed a Secretarial Science course as well. Her loving friendly nature with people caused her to always be loved by family, friends and associates. Youd always see her being supportive to others and helpful in any manner that she could, even if she didnt know you very well. She loved to sing and dance and was always the life of the party. In her early adult life Prudence relocated to Detroit, MI. and soon afterwards began a family where she gave birth to Ronarldo (1975), and Virgil (1978). Returning back to Buffalo she later gave birth to Rachel (1984) and Vanessa (1985), and in (1998) Emmanuel became the youngest son. Early on, Prudence worked in the banking system, and subsequently with Bell Telephone in Buffalo, NY. As an Account Manager, and Project Coordinator for Senior Services at GROUP Ministries, Inc. established by Second Chance Ministries Church, under the leadership of Reverend Arthur Boyd, for over 25 years. Prudence became an active member of the church and soon became admired and well respected for her work in the areas of ministry. The primary focus of the organization was on health and wellness, substance abuse and HIV related programming, domestic violence, preventive healthcare, and problem resolution for seniors and youth. This was done in conjunction with other family support and faith-based agencies and environments within the community. Prudence Fuller was the Program Coordinator for the Buffalo chapter of The Healing Zone which began as a three-year pilot project funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging, through the National Caucus and Center on Black Aged. Prudence continued to pursue her interest in helping others and became a Health and Wellness Consultant, at the House of Healing, for SUNY Empire State College, with a focus on holistic living and care. Most recently Prudence worked as a Patient Health Navigator for GBUAHN in Community Health Care for Buffalo, NY.
