Devoted mother of Evelyn (John) Walker, Nancy (late Juan) Rodriguez, Nereida (Paul) Guszkowski, Michael (Linda) Mercado, Judy Mercado, Robert Mercado, Darlene Mercado, and Jenny (Anthony) Alessi; cherished grandmother of Charisse, Christie, Anita, Yolanda, Juan, Julianna, Paul, Michael, Gabriella, Cordero, Timothy, Niko, Joseph, and the late Rico; adored great grandmother of 21 of great grandchildren and great-great grandmother of 1 great-great grandchild; loving daughter of the late Franciso and Ernesta Castro; predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters; also survived by many, many loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit Holy Cross Church, 345 Seventh St., Buffalo on Friday (August 1st) morning from 9-10 AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow.
