Rev. Emilia “Maggie” Roman, of Buffalo, NY, entered into rest on August 17, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Jose A. Roman; she was a devoted mother of Minister Damaris (Edward) Crespo, Rev. Enid (Rev. James) Mojica-McGinnis, Rev. Delia (Bishop Dr. Levy) Knox, Yvette Roman and Dr. Persida (Dr. William) Himmele; most cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren Andrew (Dominique) Mojica, Christian (Julie) Crespo, Jonathan (Amber) Crespo, Gabriela Himmele, Caleb Himmele, and two great-grandchildren Sophia Crespo Le and Elias Kairo Mojica; sister of the late Luis (Guiso) Cruz, Porfirio Borrero, Natanael Paradizo Walter Paradizo, Papo Paradizo, the late Doris Borrero, and the late Carlos Luis Borrero. Special mention of nieces and nephews, Jaqueline, Danny, Ray, Sarai, Caleb; special mention of Ana Palermo. Also survived by relatives, many friends and her cherished spiritual family and congregation of Bethel Christian Church, of which she was the founding matriarch.
Relatives and friends may visit family at Prince of Peace Church located at 190 Albany St. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at public viewing 5-7PM. A going home celebration will immediately follow at 7PM.
