DOWNEY - Richard R. "Dick" Of Colden, entered into rest April 13, 2017. Beloved husband of Janet A. (nee Nixon) Downey; devoted father of Karen (Kenneth) Brandt, Kenneth (late Carl Fuller) Downey, Kimberly Downey, Kellie (Kevin) Motschmann, Kurtis Downey and Korey (Angela Bocchino) Downey; cherished grandfather of Kirk, Ethan, Sabrina and Mackenzie; loving son of the late William and Florence Downey; dear brother of William (Dorothy) Downey, Barbara Downey, David (Roxanne) Downey, Kathy (John) Attard, Kevin Downey and the late Charles (Gail) Downey, Donald Downey, Martha (late Hillary) Kesner and Alton Downey; also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 6895 Boston Cross Rd., Boston on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. (Please assemble at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Richard served in the US Army.
