STERLING - Richard R. Of Blasdell, entered into rest August 3, 2019, beloved husband of 55 years to Loretta A. (nee Aloisio) Sterling; devoted father of Christopher Sterling, Laura Giallella, Gregory (Teresa) Sterling and Karen Sterling; cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Jeffrey Giallella and Gianna Sterling; loving son of the late Ralph and Mary Sterling; dear brother of the late Robert (Doris) Sterling and Jeanne Sterling-Colvin; fond brother-in-law of Larry, Louis and Lorraine Aloisio; dearest family friend of Andy Hancock; also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave., on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 3688 South Park Ave., Blasdell, on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock (please assemble at church). Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Sterling was a Navy veteran of WWII.
