Richard Webb

April 22, 1940 — February 6, 2026

Richard "Dick" Webb, age 85, was born on April 22, 1940, in Buffalo, New York, and passed away peacefully at his home on February 6, 2026.
Dick shared a remarkable life and a love story that spanned 67 years with his beloved wife, Karen. Together they built a family that was the center of Dick's world. He is survived by his wife Karen; his sons Jeff Webb and Matt Webb (Kristeen); his daughter Jill Sugg (Philip); and his cherished grandchildren Dana, Mary Ann, Timmy, Kirsty, Jake, Lily, and Dan. His love for his family only grew with each generation, and he held a special place in his heart for his great-grandchildren Sierra, Max, and Micah. He was preceded in death by his son Scott, whom he carried in his heart always.

Dick was best known for his entrepreneurial spirit, his love of sports, and-above all-his unwavering devotion to his family. He was someone you could count on. Whether for friends or loved ones, Dick showed up, listened, and made people feel that they truly mattered. He took great pride in being there for others.

A gifted athlete, Dick graduated from Nichols High School and Rutgers University, where he played football and ran track. His talent and dedication earned him induction into the Hall of Fame at both Nichols and Rutgers-honors that reflected not just his athletic ability, but his discipline and drive.
Dick's professional life was defined by curiosity, vision, and a keen sense for opportunity. His entrepreneurial journey spanned banking and telecommunications.

Those who knew Dick best will remember him as a caring father, a devoted husband, and a grandfather famous for his legendary Saturday morning breakfasts-often made after he'd spent snowy mornings helping his grandkids with their paper routes, or after trips to the Buffalo Zoo.

He listened without judgment, offered wisdom without ego, and lived by the belief that everyone matters.

Dick will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
