Richard "Dick" Wiegert

WIEGERT - Richard Dick Of Tonawanda, passed peacefully at home October 27, 2022 at the age of 88. Devoted father of Debbie (Jim) Hutchison and Rick (Shelley) Wiegert; cherished grandfather of Scott; dear brother of Phyllis and Tom (Larraine); also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Tuesday, November 1 from 3-7 PM. Dick was a veteran of the US Army and taught 6th grade at Starpoint for 30 years, where he also coached boys tennis. He was a gifted tennis player from a young age and until recently, enjoyed other physical activities and spending winters in Texas and North Carolina with Rick, Shelly and Scott. Dick was a kind soul and always found humor in any situation. He will be greatly missed.
