Of Tonawanda, NY entered into rest December 30, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Norman J. Gardner; devoted mother of Robert (Laura) Gardner and Susan (late David) Demmin; cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 17; loving daughter of the late Patrick L. and Edna A. O'Connor; dear sister of the late Una (late Nelson) Terhaar and Joan (late Donald) Zehler; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rita loved to travel, and enjoyed spending her time knitting and gardening. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Saturday from 10-12 o'clock.
