VIOLANTI - Rita A. (nee Tiberia) Of Lackawanna entered into rest January 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Louis P. Violanti; devoted mother of Lu Ann (Patrick) Nash, Janice (David) Pienta, Dr. Paul (Deborah) Violanti, Gary, Esq. (Toni) Violanti, Patrice (late Gary Castanza) Violanti, Joel, Esq. (Mary) Violanti, Nancy (Matthew) Gregoire, Marilyn (Michael) Reardon, and Louis, Esq. (Kelly) Violanti; cherished grandmother of 26 and great-grandmother of 10; loving daughter of the late Nicholino and Faustina Tiberia; dear sister of John (Maryann) Tiberio, late Jancy (late Henry) Valerio, late Tiberio (Philomena) Tiberia, late Anita (late Leonard) Koch, and late Clara (late James) Eberhardt; fond daughter-in-law of the late Joseph and Vincencina Violanti and sister-inlaw of the late Mamie (late Eugene) Kumierz and Josephine (late Gerald) Bednarz. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Friday (January 6th) from 2-8 PM, where Prayers will be held on Saturday morning at 9 oclock, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park at 10 oclock. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rita was a member of the Lake Erie Italian Club Womens Auxillary, Our Lady of Sacred Heart Rosary and Altar Society, and an Altar Server at OLSH, sang in many Church choral groups including Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, Our Lady of Bistrica Church, and the Lake Erie Italian Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ritas honor to Jericho Road Community Health Center-Global Health Work or Make-a-Wish foundation WNY Chapter.
