Of Williamsville, NY, formerly of Schenectady and Lake George, NY, entered into rest on October 2, 2026. Beloved husband of 58 years to Sally (nee Judge) Johnson; devoted father of Jennifer (James) Crean; cherished Grandpa of Alex Taylor; loving son of the late Alfred and Rachel (nee Bartlett) Johnson; dear brother of Suzanne Choiniere and the late Alfred (Marjorie) Johnson, Jr.; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Robert grew up in Omaha, NE, and graduated from University of Nebraska - making him a lifetime Nebraska Cornhusker! From college, Robert spent 38 years working for General Electric - with most of that time in Schenectady, NY. Robert and his wife Sally loved spending time at Lake George - boating, playing tennis and just enjoying the beauty of the region. They were members of the Lake George Club for many years and Robert skied at Gore Mountain until he was 80 years old! They took a break from the cold winters in the Adirondacks by escaping to Longboat Key, FL. Robert and Sally moved to Buffalo, NY in 2019 to be close to their daughter Jennifer and her family.

Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St. near Harlem Rd. on Thursday, October 15 from 4-7, where a prayer service will immediately follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
