Of Tonawanda, entered into rest February 8, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Betty - Lou (nee Diebold) Frangooles; devoted father of Mary Tarnowski, Debbie (George) Speidel, and Anne Reif, cherished Grandpa of Matthew, Adam, Gregory (Kristina), Jeremy (Tara), Jessica (Brooke), Courtney and Michael: adored great-grandpa of eight great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Charles and Blanche (nee Tench) Frangooles; dear brother of the late James (Phyllis) Frangooles, Mary (James) Morris, Blanche (Richard) Wirges and John Frangooles; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Robert proudly served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Snowden Minesweeper 298 & Yard Graduating from the University of Buffalo Law School in 1954, he was recognized for 50 Years of Service by the Erie County Bar Association in 2004. Robert also enjoyed serving his community through many organizations including Harry Cosby VFW Post 2472, Free & Accepted Masons Washington Lodge 240, Valley of Buffalo Scottish Rite Consistory, Hellenic Orthodox Church of Annunciation Parish Council, The Order of AHEPA William McKinley Chapter 91, and Grand Island Rod & Gun Club. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near from 2:00 7.00 Tuesday from 2:00-7:00PM. Trisagion Service will be held on Tuesday at 5:00PM. A Funeral service will be held at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 146 West Utica Ave. at Delaware Ave, Buffalo on Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock. (please assemble at church). Interment Elmlawn cemetery.
