Robert G. Hammer

HAMMER, Robert G. Sr. , 85, of Hamburg, entered into rest on February 11, 2025. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Progatsky) Hammer; devoted father of Toni (late Billy) Kapanek, Bob (Peggy) Hammer Jr., Lisa Calkins (Chris Pacyga), Marc Calkins, Lisa (Karl) Smith, Scott (Amme) Calkins, and the late Dawn (Tom) Simano; cherished grandfather of Alexis (Justin), Billy, Kyle (Marissa), Bobby (Amanda), Adam, Vanessa, Scott (Jessica), Corey, Tyler, Ashley, Ava, Matt (Nikki), Thomas (Rachel), Sean (Heather), and Alex; adored great grandfather of Lola, Olivia, Travis, Brooklyn, Lily, Madelyn, Charlotte, Elijah, Zoe, Jaxson, Kennedy, Knox, Cameron, and the late Violet; loving son of the late William and Henrietta (nee Bundt) Hammer; dear brother of the late Billy, Joyce, Esther and Marie Hammer. Also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Relatives and friends may visit LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park, near Lake Ave., on Sunday (February 16) from 2-6 PM where a prayer service will immediately follow.

Mr. Hammer was a United States Army Veteran.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
