Robert Lee

Robert W. Lee of Amherst, New York entered into eternal rest January 8, 2014 after a long-term battle with cancer. He was 67. A Johnson City, New York native, Robert graduated from Vestal High school in 1964. He attended Broome Technology College and completed his Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology and then attended SUNY Binghamton. In 1978 he completed his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering. Early on in his career Robert was an instructor at Broome Tech and worked for Universal Instruments in Binghamton, NY from 1970-1978. For the next 24 years, he worked at Moore Business Forms in Grand Island NY as a Computer Systems Engineer and Project Manager. After leaving Moore he last worked for Trek Inc. in Medina, NY as a Research and Development Engineer and Project Manager until he retired in 2005. He was a committed volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western and Central New York and the Literacy Volunteers of Buffalo and Erie County. Survivors include his devoted and loyal wife Marie (Onorato) Lee of 43+ years and his children Anthony (Rachel Kraus) Lee and Lorraine Lee. Robert is also survived by many relatives and friends. No visitation. Inurnment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY. Private Service to be held in Spring 2014. In leiu of flowers, donations in Robert's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western and Central NY and the Erie County SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
