MATA, Robert of West Seneca, entered into rest on March 23, 2024 at the age of 101. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Hanchar) Mata; loving son of the late Adolfo Mata and the late Maria Gonzalez; dear brother of Angela (late Ernest) Mata; cherished uncle of Rachel (Richard Trzyna) Barker, Richard (Dana) Mata, and Ernest (late Sandra) Mata; adored great-uncle of Ernest (Sarah Banach) Mata III, Brian (Amanda) Mata, Paul (Kelly Helminak) Barker, and the late Richard T. (Liz Blundell) Mata; fond companion of Veronica Szalecki; also survived by many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday (March 26th) from 10-12 PM, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Bob was a United States World War II Army Veteran.
